St. Scholastica Academy Chapel

The campus of Saint Scholastica Academy is a quiet, pedestrian-oriented setting, and the design produced for their new campus chapel reflected this. A quiet, contemplative plaza was provided adjacent to the chapel, and a formal entry plan was implemented leading to the front door. Traditional materials, and selections from a traditionally “Southern” plant palate, were employed in juxtaposition to the contemporary styling of the building. Landscape buffers were provided around the plaza area, to increase the sense of separation from nearby campus foot-traffic.
